Does Cacao Bring Good Luck?

Spring makes me feel lucky. Like a flush of crocuses along the sidewalk, the first sight of bees, a reunion with a friend, and - a bite of delicious chocolate.

Our good fortune is no accident, though - like all things that bear fruit, cacao trees require the right amount of sun, rain, organic matter, and pollinators. But that's no guarantee of a good harvest. It also takes years of good management, processing infrastructure and market access.

We take inspiration from the producers of our beans to focus on a high level of craftsmanship in every batch, that brings out the beans' natural flavors - rewarding and different every time.

The cacao groups we source from commit to improved cacao management practices, which not only improves their productivity and builds sustainability, but allows them to receive a higher price.
