A new year is both refreshing and overwhelming for me, as I work to combine new ideas with old passions. Here at Kevbot Chocolate, we've recommitted to sparking joy, satisfying adventurous tastes and building equity through great bean-to-bar chocolate - and we can't wait to share with you.

Our inspiration this month comes from the fruits of winter - citrus and sumac. Wintertime is peak citrus harvest time in Florida. I love the sharp, sweet taste of an orange cutting through the cold mornings!

Meanwhile, our WV mountains are still flecked with red winter berries, which our year-round birds rely on. One of my favorite berries is sumac, with its own zesty flavor and a unique texture. Although sumac grows abundantly here, it's not common as a spice in the US like it is in other parts of the world.

Naturally we paired these fruits of winter with the citrusy notes of Cahabón cacao to make our Sumac Citrus Chocolate- the perfect companion for a winter adventure!
